He Must Increase

In today’s reflection, Fr. Sam Kachuba invites us to ask: what does it really mean to live for Christ? Carrying Christ in a Broken World

In Our Imperfection, Jesus Meets US.

As the Easter season comes to a close, we return to a moment of deep tenderness between Jesus and Peter. Three times Jesus asks, “Do you love me?”—a mirror to Peter’s three denials. But rather than rebuke, Jesus offers restoration.
Fr. Sam reflects on the layers of love revealed in their exchange, from divine, unconditional love to the honest offering of friendship. Even when Peter can’t yet love as fully as Jesus asks, Jesus doesn’t withdraw the mission. He says, “Feed my sheep.”
This episode is a moving reminder that Jesus meets us in our imperfect love, entrusts us with His work, and patiently increases our capacity to love as He does.

Christ’s Prayer, Our Communion

As Jesus prays to the Father, saying He has shared everything with His followers, Paul echoes the same spirit, telling the priests of Ephesus he has not withheld a single word of God’s plan. Fr. Sam invites us to reflect on this as a blueprint for today’s preachers—and a prayer we can offer for our priests and bishops: that they may have the courage to proclaim the entire Gospel, especially when it’s difficult.
A short but bold encouragement to remain faithful, speak the Truth, and trust in the grace of Christ.

The Joy That Survives the Storm

Fr. Sam Kachuba reflects on Jesus’ promise in John 16:20–23: though sorrow may come, joy will follow. The Christian path isn’t always easy, but when we walk with Christ, no trial can steal the joy rooted in Him.
